I’ve been playing around with light levels and angles in my backyard studio recently. What this really means is that I’ve been snapping pics on days where the light is kinda crappy or waiting until later in the day when the sun is more to the right of where the birds like to perch instead of directly on them. I’m pretty happy with the results so far but I’m gonna need to invest a little more time in really finding what works the best to add some drama to my images. Details and sharpness are not all that matters and now that I feel like I’ve gotten that part figured out, it’s time to go for some better composition and feel in what I’m burning shutter cycles to capture.
